This long-established favourite of Irish holidaymakers has undergone a complete rebuild in the last two years. I stayed here many years ago but its new modern décor bears no resemblance to the traditional style it once held.

This revamped version of Los Fariones boasts a heated infinity pool and rooftop bar, yet you can still enjoy the activity of Puerto del Carmen next door. The nearby fishing port has a couple of Spanish fish restaurants, and hotel guests have access to the adjacent sports club and gym.

5-star hotels convey luxury and prestige, and the guests are expected to reflect those as well. In fact, restaurants in a 5-star establishment can refuse you entry unless you're in at least semi-formal attire. A good rule of thumb to observe is to dress in smart casual business attire.
What Do Hotels Do With Lost Items? Most hotels have a policy where they bag, tag and turn items into the lost and found department. Anything left in a room gets stored, usually in a transparent bag, so that items can be identified at a quick glance.
One reason you will see hotels ask about the number of occupants is because they want to make sure that in the event of an emergency they can account for all guests. What is this? You could imagine a scenario where a rescue worker is told there are only two people in a suite but really there are four.
Although some hotels do offer cots, the maximum capacity of a room should never exceed four adults. This is because of fire codes and insurance policies. Having too many guests could obstruct or congest the room's primary egress. More importantly, the hotel needs to be accountable for all its guests.
