Prime Day TV deals live blog: Still some deals to be had (2022)

The Amazon Prime Early Access Sale has officially ended, but there's still plenty of reason to be excited if you're looking for TV deals. That's because over the last two days, it was about 50/50 when it came to Prime-only deals, and deals open to all. The Prime deals may have gone, but the other lot still remain.

Actually, for my money, I thought the actual Early Access Sale was running out of stream when it came to TV deals yesterday. There were less and less 'Prime only' tags used on Amazon, and I saw many more standard deals slicing off chunks of money of the asking price of decent TVs. So scroll down and see what's still live. You may be surprised.

If you missed all the Prime Early Access Sale TV deal action, fear not! Black Friday is around the corner, and we've already started a page that'll be picking up on all the best Apple Black Friday deals.

I own a Sony Bravia 55-inch TV, having bought it back in 2018, and I absolutely love it. Beautiful 4K screen, thin bezels, and Google smarts make it a prized possession... so I'm not too pleased to see that the 2022 model is now cheaper than the price I paid for its 2018 equivalent. Doh!!

You can get the Sony 55-inch (2022) 4K Ultra TV for $998, down from $1,299.99 (opens in new tab). Bargain!

Prime Day TV deals are available on several brands in both the US and the UK, but one of the TV brands that's coming in for the biggest deals is Hisense. While this Chinese brand still feels like a bit of a new kid on the block and hasn't yet become quite so well known as more familiar brands, it's built up a solid position as a major player in the TV market thanks to reliability and to some extremely completive pricing. And those prices are even better in the best Prime Day TV deals on Amazon right now.

It's a great time to buy if you want to go big. In the US, we've seen a massive $400 off the huge 65in Hisense ULED premium 4K smart TV – now $699.99 (opens in new tab).

There's a similar deal on a newer model in the UK. You can get a 65in Hisense ULED TV reduced from £1,299 to £899 (opens in new tab).

If you don't want to splash out for a big TV like those we mentioned below (or don't want a TV that totally dominates the room), we've found some good Prime Day TV deals on smaller Hisense models too.

In the US, Amazon has a 55-inch Hisense UHD 4K TV at almost half price – reduced from $599.99 to $309.99 (opens in new tab). That's a whopping saving of $290 on a 2021 Roku Smart TV with Alexa Compatibility.

In the UK, you can get more than £100 off a 32-inch Hisense FHD TV, now reduced to just £146.99 (opens in new tab) – a saving of 41% on a 2022 smart TV that has a sports mode and games mode and a natural colour enhancer. And for a slightly larger screen, there's also £130 off the 40-inch model.

It's often the way that some of the best Prime TV deals come not from Amazon, but from a competing retailer. Such is the way for this amazing $900 discount on the 55-inch Sony A80J OLED Bravia TV –down from $1,899.99 to $999.99, saving you a sweet $900 (opens in new tab).

The fact is, Amazon has currently not got any stock on the super-popular A80J model at the moment, so this non-Prime-Prime-deal is pretty special.

Talking of great Prime TV deals (that don't actually come from Amazon), I love the look of this Best Buy deal on the 55-inch Samsung Series 7 TV (opens in new tab). It was $429.99 and is now $399.99.

That's a 4K, smart TV for under $400! Of course, you won't be getting the pure blacks and awe-inspiring colours that will be featured in OLED TVs, but if you want a medium to big TV that's 4K resolution, with a bunch of apps and thin bezels, this is a cracking option. Great deal.
